Senior AWS Solution Architect / Senior AWS Data Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior AWS Solution Architect with 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud solutions, including 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in cloud architecture, application modernization, microservices, serverless computing, security, networking, and DevOps — combined with practical experience in AI engineering (RAG, Agentic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, LLMOps, and prompt/context engineering). Ability to lead solution design, architect AI-powered data platforms, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Details

  • Client Domain: Telecommunications
  • Employment Type: Contract (Inside IR35 considered)
  • Contract Duration: 1 Year
  • Location: London, UK
  • Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days Week / Office)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end cloud-native and AI-powered solutions on AWS, aligned with business objectives and the Well-Architected Framework
  • Define solution architecture for serverless, event-driven, and microservices-based platforms covering scalability, HA, DR, and cost optimization
  • Architect RAG and Agentic AI systems— including multi-agent orchestration, tool-calling, and state management
  • Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making across data, AI, and infrastructure workloads
  • Design multi-account AWS architectures with networking (Transit Gateway, VPC, Direct Connect), security (IAM, KMS, Zero Trust), and compliance controls
  • Establish LLMOps practices — model evaluation pipelines, AI guardrails, observability (LangSmith), and prompt/context engineering standards
  • Define data platform architecture — Data Lake, Apache Iceberg, Spark/Glue ETL, streaming (Kafka/MSK), and analytics (Athena, Redshift)
  • Design integration patterns across distributed systems — event-driven, async messaging, API orchestration, and workflow automation (Step Functions)
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipeline architecture (GitLab CI, Jenkins, DevSecOps)
  • Guide development teams on implementation — resolve complex technical challenges in Python, API design, and distributed data processing
  • Define observability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization strategies across all solution layers
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, DevOps, ML engineers, and customers to deliver resilient, cost-effective solutions
  • Support pre-sales — solution estimation, architecture documentation, technical proposals, and proof-of-concept delivery
  • Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native best practices, AI engineering patterns, and architectural thinking

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
