Senior Azure Platform Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - £85,000

Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per month in office)

Type: Permanent

The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Platform Engineer to join an established Cloud Capability team responsible for the management, optimisation, and evolution of a large-scale enterprise cloud environment.

This is more than a traditional engineering role. We're looking for someone who can operate across engineering, architecture, and business functions, translating technical requirements into scalable cloud solutions while driving continuous improvement across the Azure platform.

You'll play a key role in shaping cloud strategy, leading platform transformation initiatives, and acting as a trusted technical expert across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead Infrastructure as Code adoption using Terraform.
  • Manage and enhance Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
  • Drive cloud platform modernisation and transformation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and operational improvement.
  • Act as a technical bridge between engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance across onshore and offshore teams.
  • Support cloud governance, resilience, and platform best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enable scalable cloud-native solutions.
  • Contribute to platform standards, operating models, and cloud roadmaps.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
