We are looking for a Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer / Azure Infrastructure Consultant to join a major technology transformation programme on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, implementing and supporting Azure infrastructure and AVD environments, working closely with technical teams and project stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build and manage Azure infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Provide technical expertise across Azure cloud infrastructure and virtual desktop solutions.
- Support the delivery of secure, resilient and scalable Azure services.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and AVD issues, providing technical resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver project requirements.
- Contribute to technical documentation, architecture and implementation standards.
- Work within an Agile delivery environment using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong commercial experience with Azure infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Proven experience designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, compute, storage and identity.
- Experience with Entra ID, Intune and Microsoft 365 desirable.
- Experience with infrastructure automation / Infrastructure as Code desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
- Able to operate at SFIA Level 5 within an Azure Infrastructure Consultant capacity.
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
