Are you looking for a new challenge to put your journalistic skills to work?

GlobalPETS has been the leading B2B go-to publication (online and print) for the pet industry since 1988, linking people's business in a pets' world. We offer up-to-date industry news, in-depth information and the latest market trends.

We're looking for a motivated, multi-skilled journalist to join our editorial team as a senior reporter, covering the business side of one of today's most exciting industries.

What you'll do

  • Cover the industry: Follow and report on the latest B2B news, business developments, market changes and trends shaping the global pet industry.
  • Break original stories: Develop and pitch original story ideas, pursue exclusive interviews and uncover developments that matter to industry leaders.
  • Write your own stories: Produce insightful and in-depth articles and features for our digital platform and print magazine.
  • Build an industry network: Develop strong relationships with C-suite executives, experts and key industry players to gain access to informed perspectives and exclusive information.
  • Support the editorial team: Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief and provide day-to-day guidance and support to a junior member of the editorial team.

What you bring to the table

  • At least 3 years in similar roles
  • Previous experience in a B2B environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to grasp complex topics and explain them in concise language
  • Ability to interpret and analyze key business trends
  • Keen eye for accuracy and quality
  • Expertise in gathering news and managing/contacting sources
  • Experience in working under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Native-level English, additional languages will be highly valued

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in covering business-related topics (company earnings, IPOs, merger and acquisitions, start-ups…)
  • Comfortable working with data (surveys, data reports, data sets...) and turning those insights into compelling stories
  • Previous experience in managing junior journalists

Remote. Ideally, you’re based in the Central European Time zone, or one timezone off.
