Why This Organisation
£120,000. Fully remote. Equity. Fortune 500 customers. And the chance to own the architecture of an AI platform that is genuinely changing how the world delivers and tests software.
Our client is the world's most advanced Agentic Test Automation Platform. Their technology replaces brittle, manually maintained test scripts with AI test agents that learn, adapt, and scale across platforms including Salesforce, Workday, and modern web stacks. They are backed by leading investors, growing quickly, and trusted by some of the largest enterprises on the planet.
The culture is remote-first, people-focused, and built around technical excellence and continuous improvement. There is no micromanagement here. Engineers are trusted to own their work, influence the direction of the platform, and make decisions that matter. If you are a senior backend engineer who has spent your career delivering against other people's designs and is ready for something more, this is a significant step up.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role and What It Can Do For Your Career
This is a Senior Backend Engineer position with genuine architectural authority over a platform serving Fortune 500 enterprises at scale. You will lead key projects from concept through delivery, drive backend architecture decisions, improve system reliability and scalability, and mentor the engineers around you. This is not a role where you execute tickets and wait for the next sprint. It is a role where your technical judgment shapes the product.
The career value is clear. You will be working on distributed systems problems at serious scale, in Go and Java, on a cloud-native GCP infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes. You will have influence beyond your own codebase, contributing to observability, monitoring, data integration, and major platform initiatives. Engineers who thrive in this kind of environment — high ownership, high trust, technically demanding — build the kind of experience that opens doors at the best companies in the world.
