We are partnering with a high-profile international technology programme focused on building scalable, data-driven applications. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to modern backend architecture, processing complex geospatial and temporal data within a collaborative engineering environment.
The Role
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices
- Develop data pipelines supporting large-scale analytics platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design clean, maintainable software using Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews
- Support CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments and cloud-native development

What You'll Need
- Strong commercial experience with Python and production experience with FastAPI
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservice architectures
- Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server)
- Hands-on experience with Neo4j graph databases
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git
- Excellent communication skills and experience working within Agile teams
