About Intercepta
Intercepta builds real-time security infrastructure that operates inside transaction flows — detecting risk, simulating intent, and preventing attacks before execution.
Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and scale systems that process on-chain data, generate risk signals, and power mission-critical protection for wallets, exchanges, and fintech platforms.
Your Impact
- Design and build low-latency backend systems for real-time threat detection
- Develop services that analyze and simulate transaction behavior before execution
- Work with high-volume blockchain data and streaming pipelines
- Build and optimize data processing systems for reliability, throughput, and speed
- Collaborate with data and security teams to productionize detection logic
- Contribute to system architecture, scalability, and infrastructure decisions
- Own systems end-to-end — from design to deployment and monitoring

Requirements

- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building and scaling complex systems
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust
- Experience with distributed systems and high-load environments
- Deep understanding of EVM internals, transaction lifecycle, and blockchain node architecture (RPC, mempool, execution layer)
- Experience with real-time or streaming systems (Kafka, Flink, Spark, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data systems (SQL/NoSQL, data pipelines, storage)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), containers, and CI/CD
- Strong system design and problem-solving skills
