Backend Product Engineer (London) - Relocation support available from anywhere in the UK!
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help scale high-growth systems and support the next phase of product expansion. This role focuses on building reliable, secure, and high-performing backend services that power new features and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Scale and evolve backend infrastructure
- Design and build performant APIs and services
- Develop infrastructure to support advanced technologies (including AI/ML)
- Optimise database performance and queries
- Improve system reliability through monitoring and alerting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing product development

Requirements
- Experience working in product-focused engineering environments
- Strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code (e.g. AWS, Terraform)
- Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- Experience with serverless architectures (e.g. AWS Lambda)
- Understanding of security best practices and performance optimisation
