💻 Role: Senior Backend Engineer (Java)
💰 Salary: Up to £80,000
📍 Location: Oxfordshire - Hybrid (2-3 Days p/w)
🛠 Tech Stack: Java, Spring Boot / Micronaut, JavaScript / TypeScript
We're partnered with a product-focused UK software business that's investing heavily in the next generation of its platform. Following significant growth, they're expanding their engineering team to modernise a large-scale Java platform while building new products and services used by organisations across the UK.
They're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to help shape the future of the platform. You'll work on a mix of new product development and platform modernisation, building scalable backend services, solving complex technical challenges and contributing to architectural decisions in a collaborative, engineering-led environment.

The Ideal Background:
- Strong Java experience with Spring Boot or Micronaut
- Experience building scalable backend services and APIs
- Enjoys solving complex engineering challenges
- Comfortable working across both modernisation and greenfield development
- Experience within product or platform engineering is beneficial
