Build the AI infrastructure powering the future of financial services.
This isn't a typical backend engineering role. We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges at scale. You'll build the backend systems that enable AI applications to process highly sensitive financial data securely, reliably, and at enterprise scale.
If your experience is primarily focused on small web applications, basic CRUD APIs, or you haven't built distributed backend systems in production, this role is unlikely to be the right fit. We're looking for engineers who enjoy designing scalable architecture, optimizing performance, and building software that operates under demanding security and reliability requirements.
The Opportunity
Join a fast-growing, venture-backed AI company transforming how financial institutions work. You'll play a key role in designing the backend infrastructure behind an enterprise AI platform used by investment firms, private equity, consulting businesses, and other financial organisations. Working alongside machine learning engineers, infrastructure specialists, and product teams, you'll help build systems capable of processing massive volumes of financial data while maintaining exceptional performance, reliability, and security.
As one of the senior members of the engineering team, you'll influence technical architecture, mentor other engineers, and help establish engineering best practices as the company continues to scale globally.
What You'll Be Doing
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
