Role: Senior Backend Engineer (Remote)

Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)

Job Type: Contract

Payout: $50 - $100/hour

Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to work on a contract basis. The role involves designing and implementing scalable backend systems to support high-performance APIs and microservices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions for a global user base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using modern architectures and best practices.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in relevant programming languages and frameworks.
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for distributed environments.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across multiple systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Experience with RESTful API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of databases, including SQL and NoSQL systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of system design principles and scalable architecture patterns.
  • Ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
