I'm partnering with a rapidly scaling technology company that's building a sophisticated software platform used by customers across multiple international markets.
Following significant growth, they're looking for experienced Backend Engineers who enjoy solving complex engineering problems, building scalable systems, and working alongside a world-class product and engineering team.
📍 Hybrid – London (4 days per week in the office)
💷 £120,000–£160,000 Base + Equity

You'll be joining a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing and building the core platform that powers a fast-growing global business.
Your work will involve:
🌳 Building scalable backend services
🌳 Designing distributed systems that operate at scale
🌳 Developing APIs supporting high volumes of traffic
🌳 Building reliable transaction and workflow services
🌳 Delivering AI-enabled product capabilities
🌳 Improving platform performance, resilience and scalability
🌳 Taking products from concept through to production

🌳 What You'll Do
You'll work closely with Product, Design and Engineering to deliver features that have measurable customer and business impact.
Responsibilities include:
🌳 Building backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
🌳 Designing robust, maintainable software
🌳 Solving complex performance and scalability challenges
🌳 Contributing to technical architecture and engineering best practices
🌳 Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in a highly collaborative, office-first engineering culture
🌳 Mentoring engineers and promoting high technical standards
🌳 Shipping high-quality software in a fast-moving environment

🌱 What We're Looking For
You'll likely have:
🌳 Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
🌳 Experience building scalable backend platforms
🌳 A product mindset and customer-first approach
🌳 Experience working within high-growth technology businesses
🌳 Startup or scale-up experience with a high level of ownership
🌳 Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
🌳 An interest in AI and modern software engineering
🌳 Ability to work from the London office 4 days per week, collaborating closely with an exceptional engineering team
