Senior Bank & Receivables Officer

Contract Type

From £35,951 per annum (London weighted salary) or from £32,188 per annum (Regional salary) dependant on experience

As a Senior Bank & Receivables Officer, you’ll lead a team of four in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, ensuring the accurate reconciliation of receipts and payments, and the timely completion of monthly bank reconciliations. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the team to meet performance targets while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Your impact in the role

  • Lead a team of four Bank & Receivables Officers, overseeing daily operations to meet team objectives and key performance indicators, including accurate reconciliation of receipts and payments.
  • Manage monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, delivering professional and effective communication to support smooth financial processes.
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management activities, including appraisals and disciplinary procedures.
  • Deputise for the Bank & Receivables Team Leader when required, implementing process and policy changes in response to business needs.
  • Conduct authorisation compliance checks and carry out ad-hoc duties to support the wider finance function.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in managing financial operations, including bank reconciliations and payment processing.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in staff performance management and team development.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines with accuracy and diligence.
  • First-class communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with UNIT4 is desirable.
  • Knowledge of sales invoicing and credit control processes is an advantage.
