Banking Litigation Solicitor | 5+ PQE | London
A leading Legal 500 West End firm with a strong reputation for complex commercial disputes is looking for an experienced Banking Litigation Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join its specialist dispute resolution team.
This is an opportunity for a solicitor who wants more than a broad litigation caseload. You'll work on sophisticated banking and finance disputes, have responsibility for your matters, and work closely with experienced partners and a range of clients.
The Firm & Department
A specialist, partner-led practice with a strong disputes offering and an established reputation for handling complex, high-value matters.
- The team acts for banks, lenders, receivers, insolvency practitioners, directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders, advising across banking, finance, insolvency, and commercial disputes.
- The environment is collaborative with solicitors being given the opportunity to take ownership of their work and develop strong client relationships.
- They have a large, modern office in the heart of the West End and offer good hybrid flexibility.

The Role
You'll handle a varied and sophisticated banking litigation caseload, including:
- Banking and finance disputes, including claims arising from loan agreements and guarantees
- Lender enforcement and secured lending disputes
- Fraud, misrepresentation, and asset recovery
- Insolvency-related litigation and recovery matters
- Commercial and contractual disputes
- Urgent applications, including freezing injunctions and other interim relief
- High Court litigation, including matters with an international dimension
- Working closely with partners and clients on strategically important disputes
This is a technical, commercially focused litigation role where you'll have exposure to interesting, high-value work.
Requirements:
- Banking Litigation Solicitor with 5+ PQE
- Strong experience in banking, finance, or commercial litigation
- Ideally experienced in acting for lenders or financial institutions
- Experience of enforcement, insolvency disputes, or secured lending would be advantageous
- Technically strong with excellent attention to detail
- Commercially minded and pragmatic in your approach
- Confident dealing directly with clients
- Looking for greater responsibility and the opportunity to develop your practice
