Role Description
The Senior Beauty Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom, responsible for leading the beauty category strategy and assortment within TJC’s omni-channel environment. This role involves identifying trends and opportunities across skincare, cosmetics, haircare, fragrance, and related beauty segments, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, and managing end-to-end buying processes. The Senior Beauty Buyer will analyze sales data, margin performance, and customer feedback to optimize product mix, pricing, and promotions for TV and online channels.

- Building and maintaining supplier relationships
- Briefing and collaborating with merchandising, marketing, planning, and TV production teams
- Ensuring product launches align with brand standards and customer expectations
The role also includes:
- Monitoring market competition
- Supporting brand development
- Contributing to long-term category growth plans
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer in beauty, cosmetics, or personal care, ideally within retail or omni-channel environments.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret sales, margin, and stock data to make informed buying and pricing decisions.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contract management, with a track record of building sustainable vendor partnerships.
- Understanding of beauty market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, with the ability to translate insights into compelling assortments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, planning, and operations teams.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple ranges, launches, and projects to deadlines.
- Comfort working with TV and digital commerce environments, including experience supporting on-air product selection and online merchandising, is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant analytical or buying tools; experience with retail planning or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the United Kingdom and to travel for supplier
