Senior BI & Data Analyst

Location: Bradford – Hybrid

Salary: Competitive / dependent on experience

The Opportunity

An established UK business is going through a significant technology, data and AI transformation and is looking for a Senior BI & Data Analyst to join the team.

This is a broad role that sits across Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Analytics Engineering, giving you the opportunity to work on a range of transformation projects rather than simply maintaining existing reports.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and turn data into meaningful insights, while also contributing to the development of a modern cloud-based data environment.

What You'll Be Doing

BI & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports
  • Create business-critical KPIs and reporting
  • Turn complex data into clear, actionable insight
  • Support self-service analytics across the business

  • Work with modern cloud data platforms
  • Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes
  • Support data modelling and trusted datasets
  • Improve data quality and governance
  • Work with complex datasets and data sources

Transformation

  • Support a major ERP transformation programme
  • Validate, reconcile and transform data
  • Map legacy data into new structures
  • Ensure reporting remains accurate throughout the transformation

AI & Automation

  • Identify opportunities for AI and automation
  • Support AI proof-of-concepts
  • Look for ways to improve and automate existing processes
  • Contribute to the organisation's wider AI strategy

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business
  • Gather and understand business requirements
  • Translate business problems into data solutions
  • Present insights and recommendations effectively

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or a similar BI platform
  • Experience with ETL/ELT and data transformation
  • Strong database and data analysis experience
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of data quality and reporting
  • Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric
