Senior Bid Manager
Location: Oxford (hybrid, 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + bonus
Contract: Permanent, full-time
The Opportunity
Our client is a growing organisation that wins complex, high-value bids, and they're looking for a Senior Bid Manager to lead major opportunities from qualification through to contract award.
You'll work closely with business development leads to shape compelling value propositions and drive bids forward with pace, rigour and creativity. It's a highly networked role, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, manages people well, and knows how to balance agility with best-practice process. Candidates from any industry background are welcome; what matters most is strong bid leadership experience.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leading complex bids end-to-end, from capture planning through to contract sign
- Managing bid teams, budgets, risk and formal review processes
- Keeping bid programmes on track for quality, schedule and budget
- Reporting progress to senior stakeholders and handing over smoothly to delivery
- Building strong relationships with clients, partners and funding bodies
- Representing the business at client meetings and industry events
- Mentoring colleagues and sharing best practice across bid teams

What We're Looking For
- Proven track record leading and winning complex, high-value bids
- Strong grasp of the full bid lifecycle
- Strategic, agile and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Persuasive and creative, with the confidence to challenge and inspire
- Excellent stakeholder management and commercial acumen
- APMP Foundation, Practitioner or equivalent desirable
