Datacenter People is supporting a rapidly growing European data center developer and operator in the search for a Senior Bid Manager to join their team in Germany.
This is a remote role, but our client is open to candidates based in either the UK or Germany.
This is a senior, customer-facing position responsible for leading complex data center opportunities from early-stage engagement through to contract closure, with a particular focus on hyperscale, cloud/AI and German public sector customers.
The role goes well beyond traditional bid or proposal management. You will take ownership of complex opportunities, coordinating commercial, financial, technical, operational and legal workstreams while maintaining a strong relationship with the customer throughout the process.
The Opportunity
You will lead multidisciplinary bid teams across major data center opportunities, bringing together subject matter experts from across Sales, Commercial, Finance, Design, Operations and Legal.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone comfortable taking direct ownership of the bid process, managing multiple workstreams and engaging confidently with both customers and senior internal stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
