We're looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our Strategic Projects team at Kier Group.

Location: Flexible. National remit with ability to travel to main city hubs

Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Kier Construction Strategic Projects, where you'll be at the heart of shaping our most important bids across health, defence, justice and borders, science and technology, and higher education sectors. This role goes beyond traditional bid management, you'll be thinking strategically, planning for the long term, and leading complex pursuits that position us as the partner of choice for our clients. You'll work collaboratively with talented colleagues and external partners to create industry-leading proposals that truly reflect what our clients need.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Bid Manager, You'll Be Working Within The Strategic Projects Team, Supporting Them In Delivering High-quality Bids And Leading Key Strategic Pursuits. Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Leading strategic bids and developing effective win strategies with internal and external stakeholders
  • Creating and owning bid programmes, ensuring timely delivery of quality, technical, and commercial requirements
  • Writing and reviewing compelling quality responses that showcase our strengths and win themes
  • Managing bid governance processes, tracking risks, and identifying differentiation opportunities
  • Mentoring and guiding other bid managers, contributing to continuous improvement of our bid management practices

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Bid Manager is great for you if:

  • You have extensive experience developing bid-win strategies and delivering high-quality bids to tight deadlines
  • You possess excellent organisational and communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • You're confident collaborating with and managing others to achieve shared goals
  • You're proficient in using Microsoft suite of tools
  • You have some experience across sectors such as health, defence, justice, science and technology, or higher education
