Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid Senior Bid Writer role based in England, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. The Senior Bid Writer will lead the development of high-quality, tailored bid and tender responses for health and social care clients, ensuring compliance with public sector requirements and evaluation criteria.
The role involves:
- Drafting, editing, and structuring bid responses across PQQ, SQ, and other stages
- Managing clarification questions
- Maintaining tender timelines and documentation
- Contributing to bid strategies
- Improving templates and processes
- Providing mentoring to junior writers
- Supporting continuous improvement of win rates and client outcomes

Qualifications
- Strong bid and tender writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a proven track record of winning public sector contracts.
- Experience in bid management, including coordinating inputs, managing timelines, and overseeing the full tender lifecycle.
- Ability to interpret procurement documents and technical requirements, and translate them into clear, persuasive responses.
- Knowledge of the Health and Social Care sector, including relevant regulations, commissioning processes, and service delivery models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify opportunities, understand client needs, and evidence service quality and impact.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to collaborate effectively both in person and remotely.
- Good organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple bids and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, shared drives, online tender portals).
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members in writing and bid processes is an advantage.
