Job Description

POLITICO is seeking a highly capable and dynamic Senior Booking Producer to join our growing Live team in Europe. This producer will support the programming and production of our live events and other key moments by identifying, researching, and securing top-tier guests — from policymakers and thought leaders to subject-matter experts and newsmakers.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with experience as a speaker booker, producer, or talent manager within a media organization, broadcaster, or comparable live-content environment. They will combine an extensive network with excellent judgment, diplomacy, and the persistence required to secure speakers at the highest levels.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, vet, and book high-profile and relevant guests for major European and global events, special projects, and relevant live moments.
  • Draft and send outreach communications, handle scheduling logistics, and manage guest communications with professionalism and discretion.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network across European capitals, EU institutions, national governments, international organizations, business, press teams, public affairs professionals, and civil society.
  • Conduct background research on potential guests and topics; help the editorial team prepare briefing documents and interview materials for hosts and moderators.
  • Manage the booking process from initial outreach and negotiation through to confirmation and event delivery, including guest check-ins, technical prep (when virtual), and coordination with production teams.
  • Work closely with editorial, events, commercial, marketing, and production teams to understand program objectives and advise on the relevance, stature, balance, and strategic value of prospective speakers.
  • Support the development of repeat relationships and strategic speaker engagement across multiple events and formats.
  • Maintain accurate booking records, contact databases, and reporting on speaker activity.
  • Represent POLITICO by handling sensitive or complex negotiations with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Cabinet secretaries and Ministers start their mornings with our analysis. CEOs shape strategy around our reporting. Advocacy leaders rely on our insights to move policy. We deliver the straightforward facts and clear-eyed analysis they need to navigate the most complex political landscape of our lifetimes.

Our 1,100+ publishing professionals across the world's key democratic capitals—Washington, Brussels, London, Paris, Berlin, Sacramento, and New York—form the world's premier politics and policy newsroom. We tell the story of how power really works by explaining who wields it and how they plan to exercise it, connecting dots others miss, and delivering scoops from sources others don't even know exist.

Innovation has always been a core tenet of our story. At launch, we bet that depth would trump scale, that talent would trump traffic, and that politics would become central to modern life. In 2011, we made another bet and launched POLITICO Pro to help decision-makers understand the business of government, transforming both how they shape government action and the business of journalism itself.

These bets have made POLITICO the most successful digital news startup of its generation and the indispensable resource for leaders who shape the future. Today, we are a rarity in media: a growing, profitable, and sustainable news organization.

POLITICO is a subsidiary of Axel Springer SE, a family-owned transatlantic media company headquartered in Berlin and New York. Axel Springer is dedicated to shaping the future of journalism in the free world, believing that a free and informed society is essential to democracy. The company’s guiding principles—first articulated as The Essentials by founder Axel Springer in the aftermath of World War II—remain a cornerstone of the company’s foundation today.
