Bilingual Bookkeeper (English/French speaking)
A great opportunity has arisen for a Bilingual Bookkeeper (English/French speaking) to join a prestigious Family Office based in Kensington & Chelsea, one of London’s most sought-after locations.
The role will focus primarily on day-to-day accounts, bookkeeping and finance administration, working closely with the Financial Controller and liaising regularly with the Head Office in France.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing, verifying and coding invoices in accordance with established procedures.
- Preparing payment packs and ensuring all supporting documentation is complete.
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records and well-organised financial documentation.
- Carrying out bank, credit card, expense and supplier reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
- Supporting the preparation of reliable financial information and reports.
- Collating approved information for payroll, VAT, tax, audit and KYC requirements.
- Liaising with the Head Office in France and handling routine correspondence and communication in both French and English.
- Using accounting software and Excel to maintain and analyse financial information.
- Supporting the Financial Controller with general finance administration and accounting tasks.
- Assisting with general office management duties.

About You
- Mother tongue French – essential
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in accounts, finance administration or a similar position.
- A good working knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable and reconciliations.
- Strong Excel and general IT skills.
- Experience using an accounting system such as Xero, Sage or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Previous experience within a family office, private office or other confidential environment would be advantageous.
