An established accountancy practice in Central London is looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join its specialist Media team.

You will manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses, providing accurate bookkeeping, VAT and management reporting, while working closely with clients, managers and Partners. This is a client-facing role offering the opportunity to work with an interesting portfolio of clients across the media, entertainment and creative sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients independently.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records.
- Complete bank, credit card, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Liaise directly with clients, providing bookkeeping support and advice.
- Work with Sage, Xero, Excel and other accounting systems.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and queries.
- Assist with management reporting, budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
- Support and mentor junior team members.

About You
- 5+ years' bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical bookkeeping, accounting and VAT knowledge.
- Experience managing a client portfolio.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Strong knowledge of Sage, Xero and Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive, commercially minded and confident resolving issues.
- Professional, discreet and comfortable handling confidential information.
- Media and entertainment experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
