Part Time Senior Bookkeeper - Liverpool
About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to provide hands-on financial support to our valued clients in Liverpool. As a Senior Bookkeeper for The Part-Time Finance People, you’ll provide SME clients with tailored financial support, completing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and helping to overcome accounting challenges while preparing and explaining financial information that improves cash flow and supports better decision-making.
About You:
You are an experienced Bookkeeper/Finance Manager with practical exposure to growing SMEs. Ideally, you are self-employed and have at least 2 days per week available to provide flexible, high-quality support.

Your Expertise Should Include:
- Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
- Credit control and debtor reporting
- Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management
- Drafting payment runs for approval
- Supplier reconciliations
- Bank postings and reconciliations
- Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
- VAT returns
- Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
- Experience with Sage50 (Xero and QuickBooks is a plus)

Role Details:
- Location: Liverpool (on-site)
- Hours: Part-time, 2–3 days per week
- Rate: £22.50 per hour
- Type: Part-time, self-employed
