Responsibilities
As a Senior Bookkeeper you will:
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed business clients.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and oversee all day-to-day financial transactions.
- Review and reconcile bank, credit card, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Support clients with accounting systems, including Sage, Xero, and associated cloud applications.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, challenging unusual transactions where appropriate.
- Mentor and support junior team members to maintain high departmental standards.
