Are you an experienced bookkeeper who's comfortable running the books from start to finish using Xero?
This is a senior, trusted role in a successful, long-established business, working closely with the Directors.
About the company
Our client is a well-established London vehicle rental business known for excellent customer service and a friendly, close-knit team.
The role
You'll take ownership of the day-to-day accounts, from purchase and sales ledgers through to VAT, payroll and month-end. You'll make sure a wide network of suppliers is paid correctly and on time, and keep the books accurate and fully reconciled.

- Managing the full purchase ledger and weekly supplier payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
- Managing the sales ledger, rental income and credit control
- Carrying out bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintaining fleet finance, hire purchase and leasing schedules
- Preparing VAT returns and processing monthly payroll and pensions
- Completing month-end to trial balance and supporting management accounts
- Preparing year-end files and liaising with the external accountants
What you'll need
- Solid experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper, running the books to trial balance
- Strong purchase ledger, supplier payments and bank reconciliation experience
- Confidence with VAT returns, payroll and month-end journals
- Experience with Xero is essential
- Accuracy, good organisation and the ability to work independently
- AAT or Part Qualified
