About OpenTrade
Stablecoins are becoming an increasingly important part of global financial infrastructure - enabling faster movement of capital, new yield opportunities and more efficient financial products.
OpenTrade is building the enterprise-grade infrastructure helping power that shift.
We enable fintech, neobanks, exchanges and more to access compliant, yield-bearing stablecoin products through seamless APIs and platform technology, bridging traditional finance with blockchain-powered financial rails.
To date, OpenTrade has raised over £30M from leading investors across fintech and digital assets, and has surpassed $350M+ in TVL — reflecting growing institutional demand for trusted, scalable stablecoin infrastructure.
We're building a company that combines the pace and ambition of a high-growth startup with the standards and rigor required to serve institutional customers.
The Role
We're entering an important new chapter for the OpenTrade brand, and we need someone to help bring our new visual identity to life - then push it further.
We're looking for a Senior Brand & Digital Designer to join the marketing team and become the creative force behind how OpenTrade shows up in the world. You'll report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with Brand & Communications, Product Marketing and Growth, turning briefs into strong creative ideas and compelling visual stories.
This isn't a role for someone who executes a brief and moves on. We want someone who sees design as a way to communicate a story by making complex ideas easier to understand, building trust, and making the brand more distinctive and memorable. You'll take real ownership of how the OpenTrade brand is expressed, how it evolves, and how far we can push it across formats and channels.
OpenTrade spans both a permissioned, enterprise-grade product and a decentralised, permissionless one - same underlying infrastructure, different audiences and different ways the story needs to land. You'll need to move fluidly between the two, understanding how each side of the business should speak and executing both with consistency and creativity under one brand.
It's a broad, hands-on role spanning brand, digital, campaigns, social, content, sales enablement, events, motion and video. You'll work from briefs, but you'll be expected to bring your own thinking to them, challenging the brief where needed, developing the idea, and finding better ways to tell the story.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We're looking for someone already operating at a senior level who's hungry for more ownership, with real scope to grow into a broader design leadership role as OpenTrade grows.
What You'll Be Doing
Brand & Creative
- Take briefs from across the business and develop the creative idea, visual direction and final execution.
- Bring OpenTrade's new visual identity to life across every touchpoint, acting as a guardian of the brand while continuing to evolve how it's expressed.
- Turn complex financial, technical and product ideas into visual stories that are clear, engaging and memorable.
- Adapt creative appropriately across OpenTrade's permissioned and decentralised product lines, without treating them as two separate brands.
- Look for opportunities to amplify the brand across channels and formats, rather than treating each asset as a one-off.
Digital, Campaigns & Content
- Design for campaigns, social, website, landing pages, reports, presentations and other digital channels, building visual systems that flex across formats.
- Partner closely with Growth, Brand & Communications and Product Marketing to bring campaigns and content to life, and produce sales and client-facing materials that communicate our products clearly.
- Design for events and other brand moments where OpenTrade needs to make an impact, always with the ICP and decision-maker in mind.
Motion, Video & Product
- Create and edit video and motion content yourself for social, campaigns, product storytelling and events to facilitate better engagement with our content.
- Bring working UI/UX experience to support Product and Engineering when design input is needed on product interfaces or other digital experiences, using Figma and other tools to move fluidly between brand, digital and product work.
Ways of Working
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing and wider team from concept through to delivery, presenting and explaining your thinking and taking feedback without losing the strength of the original idea.
- Work with external agencies and freelancers when specialist support or extra capacity is needed, and help build the templates and systems that let the wider team use the brand well.
- Stay close to emerging design, motion and AI tools, using them to work faster and better. As a small, agile team, expect to lend a hand outside your core remit from time to time.

Must-Haves
- 5+ years' professional design experience, ideally in technology, SaaS, fintech or another fast-moving digital business.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates storytelling through design, showing the thinking behind the work, not just the polished final output.
- Strong brand and digital design experience, with real skill in developing an idea from a brief rather than simply executing someone else's direction.
- Excellent typography, composition, layout and visual hierarchy, backed by expert-level Figma and strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills.
- Hands-on video and motion experience. You can create and edit video yourself, not just brief or manage someone else to do it.
- Working experience with UI/UX design and an understanding of how design translates into digital products to drive the intended behaviour.
- Confident presenting and defending creative decisions to designers and non-designers alike, with the commercial awareness to know that great design has to serve a purpose.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and owning work end to end in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment, using AI tools as part of your everyday workflow.
- Hungry for more responsibility and excited by the chance to grow into a broader design leadership role.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in fintech, financial services, digital assets, crypto or another technically complex industry.
- Experience designing for both B2B/enterprise and crypto-native or decentralised audiences.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries, or working directly with developers and Product teams.
- Experience with Webflow, Framer or similar tools, or with 3D, illustration or other specialist disciplines.
- Experience managing external creative partners or mentoring other designers.
- An interest in stablecoins, fintech or financial infrastructure.
Why Join OpenTrade
- A rare chance to contribute to category creation - stablecoin yield infrastructure is being defined right now, and this team intends to define it.
- Real creative ownership at a formative moment, shaping how the identity lives, not inheriting a system to maintain as our first in-house designer.
- A small, highly collaborative team where your contribution is visible, valued, and has real impact.
- Remote-first, with strong emphasis on trust, autonomy, and building something together.
- Competitive salary
