Senior Brand Manager
Following an internal promotion, we are now recruiting for a Senior Brand Manager to join our Marketing team.
This role can be based in either our Crick or Thirsk office and offers a hybrid working.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced brand marketer, perfect for someone who wants to own a winning portfolio end to end — the strategy, the plans, and the results that come out of them. You will be joining an award-winning business behind the UK’s number one wet dog food, with year-on-year growth for the last six years. There is real scope to come in and hit the ground running — getting to grips with our processes, procedures and the vision for the brand — then to set the scene for what comes next: how we differentiate ourselves, and where the brand can be taken to keep leading.
Role Purpose
Own the in-year delivery of the brand business plan and set the two-year-plus direction of the brand — leading the define, design and delivery, including delivery through others, and ultimately realising profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the in-year brand portfolio sales and profit targets, translating brand strategies and plans into the building blocks for sales execution in store and online — packaging, imagery and range that make the brands easy to find and easy to shop.
- Turn data into insight to create actionable plans for sales and retailer execution, and set a clear vision and strategy of what success looks like for the brand portfolio.
- Engage retail partners with inspiring, category-building growth plans, and bring stakeholders across the business and externally into the brand vision to secure delivery.
- Manage communication and media plans that get the brand noticed, drive consumer engagement and maximise return on advertising and promotional (A&P) investment, measuring and tracking effectiveness and ROI.
- Build and align a two-year-plus innovation pipeline of incremental, margin-additive new product development that takes branded growth into new needs, channels and usage occasions.
- Renovate the range for consumer and cost advantage, minimising unprofitable complexity and maximising profitable core sales, and govern promotional guidelines and channel strategies for sustainable growth.
- Contribute to an effective marketing function — role modelling engagement, developing junior team members and driving best practice across the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
