More Information About Senior Braze Technical Lead

As a Senior Braze Technical Lead, you’ll play a key role in strengthening the CRM and Marketing Technology capabilities for the Postcode Lottery. You’ll take technical ownership of the Braze platform, designing scalable and data-driven customer engagement solutions across email and, over time, push, in-app, SMS, web and Content Cards.

Are you an experienced Braze specialist with a strong background in CRM engineering and marketing technology? Join our team and help us build personalised, reliable and compliant customer journeys across multiple countries and propositions. Your work will directly support our marketing, product, data and engineering teams and every day at work, you’ll be doing your part for all the charities we support.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical discovery sessions, scope complex use cases and translate marketing requirements into robust technical specifications.
  • Own the integration between Braze and the wider data ecosystem, including Salesforce Data 360, mobile SDKs, REST APIs, webhooks and real-time event streaming.
  • Design and implement event tracking, custom attributes and data schemas. Develop personalised, multi-channel customer journeys using Liquid, Connected Content and API-triggered campaigns.
  • Coach implementation teams, conduct code and architecture reviews, establish engineering standards and robust QA and campaign-testing processes, and address technical debt.
  • Optimise platform performance, campaign quality and email deliverability, while acting as the technical escalation point for Braze-related topics.

You’d Describe Yourself As Follows

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing technology, CRM engineering or a comparable technical CRM role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Braze; Braze certification is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in Liquid, Connected Content, personalisation and responsive email development using HTML and CSS.
  • Solid knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, SQL and customer data structures.
  • Experience with Braze SDK implementations, inbound personalisation and push notifications.
  • Experience with Salesforce Data 360 or another Customer Data Platform, JavaScript, Snowflake or BigQuery, as well as leading or mentoring developers and setting technical standards and best practices.
