The Role
As the Senior Broadcast Engineer, you will lead the technical and operational delivery of Formula E's brand-new Multi-Language Production ecosystem for Season 13. Reporting to the Broadcast & Media Technology Director, this role acts as the core technical anchor trackside on-site during race weeks to maintain exceptional production quality across 7 new language feeds, while driving next-generation technology projects during the off-season.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Trackside Operations: Serve as the central technical and operational anchor for Multi-Language Production teams on-site during race weeks. Manage, allocate, and troubleshoot all trackside technical resources required by production partners, while providing engineering support to the primary Host Broadcast team.
- Operational Rotation & Resilience: Maintain workflow redundancy and team resilience by swapping physical locations with the Broadcast Technical Manager every third race to manage central remote production facility operations.
- Off-Season Planning & Innovation: Oversee advanced engineering and technical pre-planning of on-site requirements for future race calendar locations. Take the technical lead on scoping, developing, and deploying advanced initiatives like HDR workflows, enhanced audio, and automated Team Radio transcription tools.
- Internal Test Programmes: Lead the technology deployment for the Formula E Test Programme, managing the deployed tech team in rotation with the Broadcast Technical Manager.
- Mentorship & Alignment: Work in close tandem with the Broadcast Technical Manager to align trackside engineering with central production operations, while providing professional mentorship and technical training to junior members of the Technology team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
