Salary range: £38,877 to £46,355 (£47,018 to £56,062 FTE)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid working from Holyrood, Edinburgh and from home
Leave: 41.5 days FTE (including public holidays)
Working Pattern: This is a term time post working 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) over 43 weeks during our term time. Annual leave is expected to be taken during our recess periods.
Pension: Although not a civil service employer, we offer civil service pension arrangements with an employer contribution of 28.97% of basic annual salary
Clearance Required: CTC security clearance will be processed at job offer stage

The Scottish Parliament Broadcasting Office plays a critical role in Scottish democracy. We're responsible for televising, streaming, and archiving all public proceedings and events, operating and maintaining complex hybrid conferencing systems and production of a range of digital products, providing transparency and accessibility to everyone. We deliver live feeds to national and international media, as well as stream content directly to the public through scottishparliament.tv and various online channels. Beyond core parliamentary business, we also manage a variety of televised and webcast public events. This requires a creative and strategic approach to ensure compelling coverage.

As Senior Broadcast Operator Engineer, you'll have a pivotal role in the work of the Scottish Parliament by ensuring the effective operation of an extensive range of broadcast and conference systems and the timely detection and resolution of faults in order to ensure the resilience of business-critical services in the Parliament. You’ll thrive in incident resolution and play a central part in communications with colleagues and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be experienced in engineering support of broadcasting equipment. You’ll demonstrate a high level of personal credibility with excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
