The Role:

You'll play a key role in delivering world-class live sports to millions of fans. We’re looking for a motivated professional to support our cutting-edge playout and OTT operations. You’ll lead on-shift teams, manage escalations, and ensure seamless live event delivery. Collaborate across departments to improve workflows, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to continual service improvement. Your deep technical expertise will shape the future of live video streaming. You'll also mentor team members, helping build a stronger, more capable support team. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Champion best practices in broadcast technologies to ensure high-quality content delivery
  • Support engineering and operations teams to maintain exceptional broadcast standards
  • Monitor and manage IP channel outputs and the underlying infrastructure
  • Oversee routing and configuration of Transport Streams (TS) over IP circuits
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for transmission equipment
  • Adhere to and improve internal and external ticketing procedures
  • Collaborate with live engineering and network teams on system enhancements and future projects
  • Investigate and resolve faults, driving continual service improvement
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point within the facility
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date technical documentation is created and maintained
  • Lead process and workflow improvements to meet evolving business needs
  • Attend internal and external meetings to support system and process optimization
  • Liaise with ingest, MCR, and other engineering teams to maintain signal continuity

What You'll Bring:

  • Broadcast playout systems including GFX, logo and text insertion.
  • Broadcast contribution encoding techniques and high-level fault analysis.
  • Experience in management of IP Transport Stream contribution (Multicast, Unicast Networks)
  • Awareness of current OTT encoding technologies.
  • Networking and Routing.
  • Satellite Communications and Digital Video Compression.
  • Stream Analysis tools.
  • Solid background in satellite and fibre contribution signals
  • Broadcast production facility glue infrastructure.
  • Working under pressure to resolve issues during live broadcast
