Aon is seeking an accomplished Senior Broker to join its International Casualty team within the Global Broking Centre. You will become part of a collaborative team of approximately 25 brokers, bringing together a broad range of specialist expertise and experience. The team advises a high-profile portfolio of clients across international territories, with risks spanning Construction, Natural Resources, General Liability, and other complex casualty sectors.
This is a visible and varied senior role for someone looking to build on an established career in international insurance. You will lead and support complex placements, work closely with clients, Aon colleagues, and markets across multiple territories, and develop broader commercial and technical expertise. The position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio, opportunities for international travel, involvement in team strategy and tenders, and a meaningful role in coaching colleagues. What the day will look like
- Review and assess client submissions, identifying key exposures and placement considerations.
- Lead quote and follow-market broking activity across the Lloyd’s, London, and European international casualty markets.
- Develop effective placement strategies for complex risks.
- Present terms, market insight, and recommendations clearly to clients and Aon network colleagues.
- Manage firm-order broking ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Review draft and final Market Reform Contracts and supporting documentation before binding.
- Provide clear and timely cover confirmation to clients and network partners.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, underwriters, and colleagues across international territories.
- Provide benchmarking, market intelligence, and placement advice to support informed client decisions.
- Prepare for and lead client and market meetings with confidence and credibility.
- Contribute to team strategy, business development initiatives, and high-quality tender responses.
- Coach, mentor, and share technical knowledge with colleagues, helping to develop capability across the team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Significant experience within the insurance industry, gained in a broking or underwriting environment, together with strong market relationships.
- Strong technical knowledge of international casualty risks and insurance markets; experience across Construction, Natural Resources, or General Liability would be particularly valuable.
- A proven ability to manage complex placements, client relationships, and a portfolio of business with sound commercial judgement.
- Confident communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach, combined with the confidence to work independently, take ownership, and make well-reasoned decisions.
- An interest in developing others and contributing to a supportive, high-performing team culture.
- The ability to use relevant insurance technology and placement platforms to deliver an efficient, high-quality client service.
- A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for continuing your own professional development in a global organisation.
