This is a rare opportunity to have a central role in the running of a global marine book, with a real opportunity to develop into a much larger role as a part of succession planning.
You will be joining a non-hierarchical business, where collaboration, respect and innovative ideas are the driving forces to its continued success in the Marine space.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The Role
This is a critical, strategic hire for the business. They are looking for someone with solid knowledge within Marine Hull and Machinery, P&I and Marine Liability.
This has the opportunity to progress to a much larger one, where you will be trusted to take over a legacy book of business in the mid-to-long term. Business emanating from certain territories such as Europe, South and North America, and the UK.
Largely placement focused but for those individuals who want exposure to production, international travel and a platform to start building a book, this is the opportunity to do that, without the pressure.
