Georg Duncker is one of the largest independent and privately-owned marine insurance brokers, with more than 150 years of successful operation in the maritime sector. Employing over 140 insurance professionals across seven office locations in Hamburg, Singapore, Houston, Rotterdam, Piraeus, London, and Zug, Georg Duncker serves more than 4,000 vessels worldwide. To support this objective, we are looking for a highly motivated Senior Broker Marine Insurance (m/f/d) for our UK branch (London).
Your Tasks
- Place and negotiate insurance and reinsurance risks (H&M, P&I, Cargo, and other marine insurance products) in the Lloyd’s and London Market
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, insurers, and underwriting partners
- Collaborate closely with broking colleagues and business development teams across the Georg Duncker Group
- Expanding the strategic network of insurer and placing channels, with a particular focus on the Lloyd’s and London market
- Provide professional advice and support to clients within the marine and shipping industry, delivering tailored insurance solutions and exceptional service.

Your Profile
- Legally authorized to work in UK
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marine insurance broking and/or underwriting, preferably within the Lloyd’s and London Market
- Strong product knowledge and experience across the marine insurance sector
- Well-established relationships with senior decision-makers within the insurance market and/or the marine, shipping, commodity trading, and energy industries
- Healthy insurer network and/or strong connections within shipping/marine/energy/commodity trading sectors with a proven ability to achieve optimal placement outcomes for clients
- Outstanding negotiation and communication skills
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across international teams
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
