About the Company
Wakefield Council is investing in its Building Control Service and we're seeking a talented Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our ambitious and expanding team. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including complex developments and higher-risk buildings, whilst helping shape the future of Building Control across the district.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Complex plan assessments and site inspections
- Building Regulations compliance and enforcement
- Dangerous structures and emergency response work
- Supporting major development projects
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues
- Working with developers, architects and stakeholders to deliver safe, sustainable communities
