About the Company

Wakefield Council is investing in its Building Control Service and we're seeking a talented Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our ambitious and expanding team. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including complex developments and higher-risk buildings, whilst helping shape the future of Building Control across the district.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Complex plan assessments and site inspections
  • Building Regulations compliance and enforcement
  • Dangerous structures and emergency response work
  • Supporting major development projects
  • Mentoring and supporting colleagues
  • Working with developers, architects and stakeholders to deliver safe, sustainable communities
