Immediate Opportunity for an experienced Senior Building Manager (Fixed Term Contract - 3 Months)
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Building Manager to join a high-profile commercial property in Manchester on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced facilities management professional to take responsibility for the operational performance, compliance, customer experience, and service delivery across a prestigious, multi-occupied commercial building.
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of both hard and soft services, manage key supplier relationships, maintain the highest standards of health and safety compliance, and ensure an exceptional experience for occupiers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management and performance of all hard and soft facilities management services across the property.
- Monitor contractor performance through regular reviews, KPI management, and supplier meetings.
- Manage planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance activities.
- Conduct comprehensive property inspections and ensure building standards are maintained.
- Support budgeting processes, service charge management, expenditure monitoring, and invoice validation.
- Oversee health, safety, environmental, and statutory compliance across the property.
- Manage minor works projects from identification through to completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with occupiers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Lead occupier engagement initiatives, meetings, and community-building activities.
- Support business continuity planning and emergency preparedness processes.
- Provide leadership and oversight to on-site service partners, including cleaning, security, and maintenance teams.

Person Specification
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Facilities Management.
- Experience managing large, flagship, or trophy commercial buildings or estates.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Strong understanding of managing agent responsibilities and landlord/tenant relationships.
- Proven experience managing hard and soft services within a commercial environment.
- Strong contractor and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading teams and managing service partners to deliver high standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
- Membership of IWFM or a relevant professional body.

Salary / Package
- £50,000 - 55,000 (pro rata)
- Annual leave / holiday pay
