SENIOR BUILDING SAFETY MANAGER
Premier
Competitive
Hybrid - Macclesfield
Role Overview
You will lead building safety across a varied portfolio, championing a culture of compliance, transparency and continuous improvement for our customers and clients. Working in a hybrid pattern, you’ll spend one day a week in our Macclesfield or Hurst office, time on site to see buildings first-hand and engage residents and stakeholders, and the remainder working from home to plan, coordinate and report.
This is a senior, visible role where you’ll shape how we meet evolving building and fire safety obligations, manage risk proactively, and deliver clear, confident guidance to internal teams, clients, regulators and residents. You’ll join a supportive, ambitious business within the Odevo Group, with the tools and backing to raise standards and deliver lasting impact.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Most days you will be coordinating safety priorities across your portfolio: reviewing risk information, progressing actions, guiding colleagues and suppliers, and communicating updates to clients and residents. You will turn complex regulation into practical plans, oversee remedial works and assurance activity, and provide clear reporting and advice that drives timely, safe decisions.
What Success Looks Like
- Buildings in your care have up-to-date, evidence-backed safety assurance with actions closed on time.
- Clear, proactive communication keeps clients, residents and colleagues informed and confident.
- Safety case content, golden thread information and resident engagement materials are accurate, accessible and regularly improved.
- Audits, regulator enquiries and external reviews are passed without issue and with positive feedback.
- Remedial projects are prioritised by risk, delivered to scope, quality and budget, and lessons learned are embedded.
- You are the trusted go-to advisor on building safety, raising capability across the wider team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
