Everyone who works at Lidl brings something unique to the table - but we also have a whole lot in common. We're curious, collaborative, and ready to make a tangible impact on where we work. Just like you.

An exciting time of development and expansion for the company, our Warehouse Construction department is at the forefront of ensuring the infrastructure is in place to facilitate our ambitious plans. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and hard-working Senior Project Manager to develop national strategies and oversee their roll out into Building Services and Sustainability specifications and manage related projects across Lidl GB.

At Lidl, we offer a hybrid working model to give you the best of both worlds. Spend three days or more in our state-of-the-art office, where you can enjoy an on-site gym, restaurant, and more of the perks you deserve. And with up to two days at home, you’ll find the work/life balance you need to thrive.

What you'll do

  • Deliver the full lifecycle of mechanical, electrical, public health and building technology workstreams from initial concept and feasibility through to final handover.
  • Lead the design development and specification of all mechanical, electrical and building technology engineering systems, ensuring they align with the specification requirements, energy efficiency targets and operations.
  • Oversee the external design team, installation, and commissioning of large-scale industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring critical chilled and frozen storage zones meet strict food-grade and cold chain standards.
  • Manage the integration of advanced warehouse technology, including the power and network infrastructure required for Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Building Management Systems (BMS), secure IT networks and CCTV/access control.
  • Drive the tendering process for all MEP and refrigeration packages. This includes defining scopes of work, reviewing tender documents, technically evaluating bids, and selecting contractors.
  • Implement and monitor strict quality control procedures throughout the construction phase. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all building services and technological installations meet exact design specifications, retail standards and statutory compliance.
  • Take ownership of the testing, commissioning and witnessing processes and phases for mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and tech systems to ensure total operational readiness and seamless integration prior to facility handover.
  • Carefully plan, phase, and execute MEP and technology upgrades or reconfigurations within existing facilities, ensuring absolute minimal disruption to operations.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison, collaborating closely with internal retail stakeholders (Operations, IT, Logistics) and external partners (Principal Contractors, specialist consultants and architects) to ensure project alignment. Conduct handover process and training of projects to facility management and operational teams.
  • Monitor and control budgets, timelines and technical risks specific to the building services and technology packages, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within the approved financial scope.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
