About This Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Chartered Building Surveyor to join our new Built Asset Solutions division. Joining a national team delivering expert building consultancy and asset management solutions via an innovative service model.

You'll be part of a growth-minded, collaborative multi-disciplinary business with a defined brand and a clear focus, ensuring real estate optimisation through service excellence, innovation, and agile delivery.

Our building surveyors work with a range of public & private sector clients, providing a broad breadth of commercial building surveying services throughout the capital. We work strategically to maximise growth, profitability, and profile, securing work with renowned institutions and iconic commissions.

Joining us as a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will be a key client contact, responsible for managing and developing relationships, securing future workstreams, and delivering excellent standards.

You will deliver surveys & reports, provide expert advice, and deliver various fit-out, refurbishment & remedial projects across commercial assets, operating across commercial estates for a range of private & public sector clients.

  • Working collaboratively to meet and exceed team goals & objectives
  • Building excellent client relationships through proactive, positive engagement, and clear, professional communication
  • Delivering high-quality building surveying services in-line with customer requirements to meet or exceed expectations
  • Delivering a range of services including building surveys, dilapidations & party wall advice
  • Delivering building projects from feasibility through to design, contract administration to handover and post completion reviews;
  • Preparing and managing planned maintenance programmes

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge, and Key Skills

  • Detailed knowledge and practical experience delivering commercial building surveys and producing reports
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods and materials;
  • Knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies
  • Experience acting as contract administrator or employer's agent for JCT or NEC contracts
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts;
  • Clear and effective communication skills – both oral and written;
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changes;
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiating skills, financial and numeracy management skills;
  • Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily;
  • Ability to use AutoCAD software to create or amend designs
  • Sound IT skills and familiarity using full MS office suite

Qualifications

  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) OR
  • MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building)
