Your new company

Our client is a well-established and growing property consultancy with a strong reputation across Scotland. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their Dundee office and play a key role in supporting the growth of their Building Surveying team across the Tayside region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Chartered Surveyor looking to take on a varied workload, manage key client relationships, and contribute to the ongoing success of a respected professional practice.

Your new role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will undertake a broad range of building surveying services for a diverse client base while supporting the continued development of the business.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Delivering a full range of professional Building Surveying services
  • Managing projects from inception through to completion
  • Building and developing existing client relationships while helping to identify new business opportunities
  • Ensuring services are delivered in line with agreed client requirements and reporting standards
  • Mentoring and supporting graduate and recently qualified surveyors
  • Producing high-quality reports and professional advice for clients
  • Managing workloads effectively to meet project deadlines and service level agreements
  • Working closely with colleagues across multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent client outcomes
  • Supporting the growth and development of the business across Dundee and the wider Tayside region

  • A relevant Building Surveying degree
  • MRICS qualification
  • Previous experience working within a Building Surveying practice
  • Strong technical Building Surveying knowledge across professional and project-based work
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Experience mentoring junior members of staff
  • A proactive and commercial approach to delivering client services
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Willingness to travel across the Tayside region as required
