We’re looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a growing Bristol team, working within a multidisciplinary environment across a range of public and private sector projects.
This is a varied role covering refurbishment, improvement and modernisation projects, with good opportunities for someone looking to progress their career.
The Role
- Deliver a full range of Building Surveying services.
- Carry out surveys, inspections and schedules.
- Undertake feasibility studies and produce specifications.
- Obtain estimates and statutory approvals.
- Administer refurbishment contracts.
- Work with JCT and NEC contracts.
- Manage client relationships and projects.
- Support and mentor junior Building Surveyors.
- Line manage junior team members.
- Support business development, bids and new opportunities.
- Work alongside wider multidisciplinary teams.

About You

- BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or similar RICS-accredited degree.
- Chartered Building Surveyor – highly desirable.
- Strong technical Building Surveying experience.
- Experience managing clients, projects and workloads.
- Good commercial awareness and business development experience.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Knowledge of areas such as Dilapidations, Party Wall, Fire Risk or Access Assessments.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance.
- Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel.
- AutoCAD and NBS experience; Revit would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
