We’re looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a growing Bristol team, working within a multidisciplinary environment across a range of public and private sector projects.

This is a varied role covering refurbishment, improvement and modernisation projects, with good opportunities for someone looking to progress their career.

The Role

  • Deliver a full range of Building Surveying services.
  • Carry out surveys, inspections and schedules.
  • Undertake feasibility studies and produce specifications.
  • Obtain estimates and statutory approvals.
  • Administer refurbishment contracts.
  • Work with JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Manage client relationships and projects.
  • Support and mentor junior Building Surveyors.
  • Line manage junior team members.
  • Support business development, bids and new opportunities.
  • Work alongside wider multidisciplinary teams.

  • BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or similar RICS-accredited degree.
  • Chartered Building Surveyor – highly desirable.
  • Strong technical Building Surveying experience.
  • Experience managing clients, projects and workloads.
  • Good commercial awareness and business development experience.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Knowledge of areas such as Dilapidations, Party Wall, Fire Risk or Access Assessments.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel.
  • AutoCAD and NBS experience; Revit would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
