Role Name: Sr Business Analyst - Insurance
Location: UK
Type: Hybrid (2 days/week in office)
Role Overview
Impactron is a high-growth consulting and services firm working with global clients in regulated industries, with a strong and growing focus on UK insurance and the Lloyd’s of London market.
We are looking for a Senior Techno-Functional Business Analyst who brings deep UK insurance domain knowledge, strong IT systems understanding, and an interest in modernising insurance operations through platform-led and CRM-centric approaches.
This role offers a rare opportunity to join Impactron in its early growth phase, work closely with senior leadership, and gain end-to-end exposure across pre-sales, solution design, and delivery, while helping shape how modern platforms such as ServiceNow and CRM solutions are applied across complex legacy insurance landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
Techno-Functional Delivery
- Act as a techno-functional Business Analyst on UK insurance transformation programmes
- Work with business and IT stakeholders to understand:
- Insurance processes
- Existing legacy systems and SaaS platforms
- Analyse and document:
- Functional and system requirements
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- Integration and interface needs
- Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to align requirements with target-state platform and architectural direction
- Support configuration, UAT cycles, and go-live readiness

- Work closely with pre-sales, sales, and business development teams to:
- Understand client problem statements and transformation objectives
- Contribute to solution constructs and functional approaches
- Bring domain and system insights into proposals and solution narratives
- Support discussions around:
- Rationalisation or displacement of fragmented legacy and SaaS tools
- Introduction of platform-led and workflow-driven approaches across insurance operations
- Gain exposure to how platform choices are positioned and shaped for UK insurance clients
UK Insurance Domain Experience
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with UK insurance exposure
- Experience across multiple UK insurance clients or programmes
- Solid understanding of the Lloyd’s of London ecosystem, including:
- Syndicates, brokers, and coverholders
- Placement, underwriting, claims, and bordereaux processes
- Delegated authority models
- Strong understanding of:
- Policy administration
- Underwriting
- Claims
- Billing / accounting
- Reinsurance (desirable)
IT Systems & Technology Understanding
- The candidate should bring strong working knowledge of insurance IT systems and modern architectures, including:
- Core Insurance Platforms
- Guidewire (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter)
- Duck Creek (Policy, Claims, Billing)
- Other PAS / claims platforms commonly used by UK insurers
- Market & Integration Landscape
- Lloyd’s market platforms (PPL, market modernisation initiatives, bordereaux systems)
- API-led and integration-heavy environments
- iPaaS / ESB platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services)
- Data platforms and reporting ecosystems
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Core Insurance Platforms
CRM & Platform-Led Transformation (Good to Have)
