Payments SME - £800 - £900 Per Day - 6 Months - London (Hybrid) - Investment Banking

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced UK Payments SME to support a major banking transformation and UK expansion programme.

The role will focus on defining business requirements across the UK’s core payment schemes and requires strong practical knowledge of UK payment rails, alongside Business Analysis and stakeholder management experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as SME across Faster Payments, CHAPS and BACS.
  • Define, structure and review business requirements for UK payment capabilities.
  • Support the development of functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead stakeholder workshops to understand processes, operational needs and customer requirements.
  • Validate requirements and support approvals and solution testing.
  • Work closely with analysts, SMEs and stakeholders across UK and US teams.
  • Help establish effective BA, documentation and delivery practices.

Key Requirements

  • Strong practical experience across at least two of Faster Payments, CHAPS and BACS.
  • Good understanding of UK payment scheme rules and associated value chains.
  • Experience implementing, supporting or servicing UK payment rails.
  • Strong Business Analysis and requirements gathering experience.
  • Confident running workshops with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, IBM Rational or similar tools.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
