Lead Business Analyst

London (Hybrid) Technology Department Reporting to the Head of Product Circa £80,000–£90,000 + bonus and benefits

Overview

Drive data-led change across a growing digital organisation. This is more than a traditional Business Analyst role. It's an opportunity to take a lead role in delivering complex, data-driven transformation initiatives while helping to shape and mature the Business Analysis capability.

Working across Product, Engineering, Data and Architecture, you'll combine hands-on analysis with the opportunity to influence how Business Analysis is delivered across the organisation. You'll help establish standards, tools and best practices, while remaining actively involved in discovery, requirements gathering, process improvement and solution delivery.

We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable facilitating discovery workshops, analysing business processes and data, mapping user journeys and producing high-quality user stories as they are working with technical teams to define scalable digital solutions.

This role will suit someone who enjoys solving business problems through data, technology and collaboration, while helping to continuously improve Business Analysis practices.

You'll divide your time between delivering strategic digital initiatives and supporting the evolution of the BA function.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver data-driven digital change
    • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data and business stakeholders to translate business needs into well-defined digital solutions.
    • Lead discovery activities to understand business processes, user needs, operational challenges and data requirements.
    • Facilitate workshops, process mapping sessions and collaborative design activities across multidisciplinary teams.
    • Produce clear user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications and process documentation.
    • Analyse business processes, system interactions and data flows to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Work alongside technical teams to understand integrations, APIs, data models and solution architecture.
    • Support UX activities including user journey mapping, wireframing and digital experience design.
    • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting and customer experience through better use of technology and data.
    • Support testing, business readiness and successful adoption of new digital solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
