Senior Business Analyst – Process & Systems Transformation

Permanent, full-time | Glasgow | Hybrid: minimum two days per week in our Glasgow office/client sites

£55,000–£65,000 + 5% pension contribution + 30 days’ annual leave + Apple Mac and all required software

We are building a high-calibre transformation consultancy and are looking for an exceptional Senior Business Analyst to join our growing team.

This is not a narrow IT requirements role. You will work directly with senior client leaders and frontline operational teams to understand how organisations really work, identify what is getting in the way, and turn complex, messy reality into practical improvements to processes, systems and ways of working.

You will work across varied client environments. One assignment might involve Finance, HR and Payroll; another may involve engineering, asset management or complex operational delivery. You do not need to arrive as a subject-matter expert in every function. You do need to be relentlessly curious, structured in your thinking, confident with people and able to get to the real issue quickly.

What you will do

  • Lead discovery across unfamiliar and complex client environments.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, interviews and process-review sessions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Map end-to-end processes, including roles, hand-offs, systems, controls, data, exceptions and pain points.
  • Identify root causes, inefficiency, rework, control weaknesses and opportunities to simplify or automate.
  • Define clear future-state processes, business requirements and practical recommendations.
  • Translate findings into concise, high-quality client deliverables that support decisions, procurement and implementation.
  • Work closely with the Engagement Director to shape client work, manage priorities and maintain excellent delivery standards.
  • Build trusted client relationships through thoughtful challenge, strong facilitation and reliable follow-through.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we are looking for

You will have substantial experience as a Business Analyst, Process Improvement Consultant, Business Architect or similar transformation role.

More importantly, you will be able to demonstrate that you have personally:

  • Led discovery and process-analysis work in complex organisations.
  • Worked confidently with both senior leaders and operational teams.
  • Mapped and improved end-to-end processes across multiple functions or systems.
  • Turned ambiguous problems into structured, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Produced excellent written outputs, including process maps, requirements, options or business cases.
  • Helped clients or employers implement change, rather than simply documenting the current state.
  • Worked independently, exercised sound judgement and managed competing priorities.

Experience in operational, regulated or asset-intensive environments—such as transport, utilities, public sector, manufacturing, financial services or large-scale services—is valuable, but not essential.

The person

You are naturally inquisitive. You ask the question behind the question. You are comfortable walking into an unfamiliar environment, listening carefully, finding the important detail and making sense of it.

You are commercially aware, practical and calm under pressure. You enjoy solving complex problems with people, not just analysing them from a distance. You care about the quality of your work and take pride in producing clear, useful outputs that clients can act on.

Why join us

This is an opportunity to help build a consultancy with high standards and real ambition.

You will have meaningful responsibility from the outset: direct client exposure, varied transformation work, close support from the Engagement Director and a clear route to develop into a Lead Business Analyst and broader transformation-consulting role.

We are looking for someone who wants to do excellent work, grow quickly and have a visible impact—not disappear into a large consulting hierarchy.
