Senior Business Analyst – Hamilton, Glasgow

Our Transformation and Delivery team is growing, and we're excited to welcome a talented Senior Business Analyst to join us.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll help shape business and technology change across Last Mile, working on key transformation projects that improve how we use systems, data and processes. You’ll work closely with business teams, technology colleagues, implementation partners and suppliers to understand requirements and turn them into practical solutions that make a real difference.

You’ll lead business analysis activity across projects, including user engagement, requirements gathering, solution options assessment and business case preparation. You’ll also play an important role in the selection, design and implementation of enterprise systems, making sure business needs, reporting requirements and user experience are fully considered.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Business Analyst:

  • Lead business analysis activity across transformation projects, including requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, process review and clear documentation.
  • Translate requirements into practical outputs such as user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria and specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve ways of working across teams, processes, systems and data.
  • Support the selection, procurement, implementation and improvement of enterprise systems and data solutions.
  • Work closely with business and technology teams, suppliers and implementation partners to ensure solutions meet business needs and are ready for successful deployment.
  • Contribute to business cases, options appraisals, testing, reporting frameworks and benefits tracking to support confident delivery and measurable business outcomes.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst within large scale digital transformation, systems implementation, or operational improvement.
  • Extensive experience in requirements gathering, options assessment and business case preparation.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide system implementations and integration.
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers and technology delivery partners.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification, or equivalent experience in Business Analysis, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Business Analysis qualification (e.g., BCS Business Analysis, IIBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent) desirable.
  • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in business analysis, change, process improvement, or transformation.
