Join us as a Senior Business Analyst

Take on a critical role supporting the bank to achieve customer advocacy by eliciting and understanding the internal and external technology customer needs. You'll be working in a vibrant, forward-looking team and helping us to shape the future of our business through the delivery of innovative AI-enabled capabilities for Relationship Managers and frontline banking teams.

As a key member of our team, you'll enjoy extensive collaboration and can expect great visibility for you and your work. You'll work from home most of the time, but you'll also spend at least two days a week working from our London office.

What you'll do

In your new role, you'll be responsible for producing business requirements that inform future state designs, helping teams understand requirements and how they support the wider domain strategy. You'll build, manage, and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders and third-party suppliers across multiple franchises and functions.

You'll be responsible for understanding, challenging, and developing our business, customers, strategic goals, and how the teams operate to support the realisation of desired outcomes by the team.

Working in a fast-paced delivery environment, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering AI-enabled capabilities, partnering with business, technology, and design teams to ensure solutions meet user needs and strategic objectives.

You'll Also Be

  • Capturing, validating, and documenting business and system requirements, ensuring alignment with key strategic objectives and design principles
  • Engaging with customers, key stakeholders, and delivery teams to gather, analyse, and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements
  • Analysing existing system processes and documentation to identify opportunities for improvement and support solution design
  • Facilitating requirement elicitation workshops and translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and process models
  • Creating and maintaining process flows, user journeys, capability maps, and other technical or business analysis artefacts to support solution design and delivery
  • Presenting insights, recommendations, and delivery outcomes to senior stakeholders and leadership audiences

The skills you'll need

You'll have a good understanding of Agile values, principles, and methodologies with experience of working within an Agile environment. Knowledge of the Commercial & Institutional Banking franchise, particularly frontline Relationship Manager and Coverage teams, would be advantageous.

An appropriate business analyst certification, such as BAX, CPRE, and CBAP, is desirable.

You'll Also Need

  • Experience of applying business analysis tools and techniques, including eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements across complex technology initiatives
  • Good communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of business and technology teams
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage priorities independently and deliver outcomes at pace
  • Experience creating process models, workflow diagrams, system interaction diagrams, and other business analysis artefacts
  • An understanding of AI technologies and tools, including Large Language Models (LLMs), and the opportunities and considerations associated with their use in business processes
