Job title: Senior Business Analyst

Duration: 6 months initial term

Pay: £650 per day PAYE, Inside IR35

Location: 50% in-office attendee monthly in their Stratford, London office

Our client is an independent regulatory body in the UK responsible for ensuring the financial markets work well for the consumers and the economy, promoting market integrity and effective competition.

About the team

The organisation’s Change function drives strategic, regulatory and technology-enabled transformation across a complex organisation. Working closely with business areas, the team delivers improvements to processes, systems and ways of working, supported by expertise in architecture, relationship management, project and programme delivery, business change and business analysis.

About the role

They are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead and support the delivery of a complex, high-profile change portfolio aligned to organisational priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and define the Business Analysis approach across assigned projects, ensuring outputs are fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, and delivered at pace
  • Deliver high-impact regulatory and technical change initiatives, supporting the organisation’s regulatory obligations and strategic priorities
  • Apply best practice BA techniques to manage requirements, model current and future states, and deliver data-driven, tailored business solutions
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to shape solutions, influence decision-making, and maximise project value
  • Support the successful delivery and operation of critical systems and services, ensuring reliability and strong client outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and contributing to a more agile, high-performing organisation
  • Contribute to the BA Community of Practice through knowledge sharing, onboarding, and supporting capability development initiatives

Which skills are required?

Minimum

  • Demonstrable experience performing the responsibilities of a Business Analyst or Consultant in a professional environment
  • Proven experience working within complex project or programme environments involving both business and IT-driven change
  • Prior exposure to at least one of the following organisation types or sectors: financial services, government/regulatory bodies, technology firms, or consultancy (ideally IT consultancy)

Essential

  • Vast knowledge of business analysis tools, techniques and best practice approaches, including end-to-end requirements management. Shows pragmatism in being able to select and adapt the right approach for the right situation.
  • Delivers quality outputs at pace in both structured, and fluid project environments.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills. Builds strong engagement with SMEs, and establishes good relationships with business sponsors, project stakeholders, and supplier delivery teams.
  • Experience of project lifecycles delivered within a range of project delivery methodologies including Waterfall & Agile.
  • Skilled at leveraging excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
