The purpose of my job role is:
The purpose of the Senior Business Analyst role is to provide high-quality strategic and operational analysis to the Chief of Staff and senior leadership team, turning complex business information into clear recommendations, plans, and measurable outcomes. The role leads business analysis across key change and growth initiatives, maintains effective reporting and governance, and line manages and develops the Junior Business Analyst, ensuring work is prioritised, accurate, and delivered to agreed standards.
Ideally situated so that they can work from our location in Sandwich, Kent, or Reading, Berkshire.
Main Duties
Strategic analysis and executive support
- Provide the Chief of Staff and senior leaders with timely analysis, insight, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Design and maintain executive dashboards, management information, and performance reporting, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and required actions.
- Lead the preparation of business cases, options appraisals, benefits assessments, and impact analyses for growth, investment, and change initiatives.

Business change and stakeholder leadership
- Lead business analysis across complex projects, including restructures, system implementations, operational reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels to define problems, gather and validate requirements, map current and future processes, and agree on practical solutions.
- Work with project owners to define scope, risks, dependencies, success measures, and benefits, and monitor delivery through implementation and review.
Reporting, systems, and governance
- Own the quality and consistency of business data, reporting standards, and analytical outputs, including effective use and configuration of systems such as HubSpot and Power BI.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and benefits tracking within agreed financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Oversee subscription and business systems, including relationships with external providers such as Microsoft and Monday.com, ensuring value, compliance, and appropriate controls.

Leadership and team development
- Line manage the Junior Business Analyst, setting objectives, allocating and reviewing work, providing coaching and feedback, and supporting their professional development.
- Establish and promote consistent business analysis methods, templates, and quality standards across the organisation.
- Represent the Company at meetings and events as appropriate and deputise for the Chief of Staff on agreed analytical or project matters.
